Our Museum Director returns to Covent Garden with a few colleagues to check on the sleeping London Transport Museum

We are launching a new blog series, Welcome Aboard, to keep you updated on how the Museum team are doing during lockdown. In the first instalment, our Director Sam Mullins visits the sleeping Museum for the first time in two months.

London Transport Museum has stood proudly in the Covent Garden Piazza since it was open on 28 March 1980. Over the past four decades Covent Garden has been transformed into a vibrant quarter of London, with the Museum contributing to the distinct personality of the area.

We are starting the new year with a celebration of London’s tramways in our new Poster Parade on display at the Museum from 10 January to 26 March 2020. Find out more in this blog by Curator Georgia Morley.
