Name: Sam
Bio: I have been the Director of London Transport Museum since 1994 and am responsible for two major developments - the Museum Depot Acton (a state-of-the-art collections facility) and the £22m redevelopment of the main museum in Covent Garden, which opened in 2007; and the creation of a new charitable trust for the Museum in 2008. I am also Vice President of AIM, the voice of independent museums in the UK, and a board member of Museums Association. Previously I was responsible for local authority museums in St.Albans, Market Harborough and Much Wenlock and a Trustee of the Museum Prize Trust and the SS Robin Trust.
